GoDaddy Domain name transfer process

GoDaddy.com is the world’s biggest domain name registrar. They offer loads of features. However, due to the complexity of the control panel at GoDaddy, many people find the domain push or the domain transfer process too complicated.

We have listed below in a step-by-step form, as to how to push/transfer your domain name to another GoDaddy.com account (you can get an account for free.)

• Login to your GoDaddy.com account
• Click on “Manage Domains” on your Control Panel. You will then, be taken to the “Domain Manager” control panel.
• Now, select the domain name(s) you want to transfer to another account, and press the “Account Change” button on the control menu.
• Now you need to enter the details of the account holder you want to transfer or push the domain to.

Tip : If you do not have the details, you can enter anything, just make sure, that the email address you enter, is correct, and is registered with GoDaddy.com on part of the account holder. The new owner of the domain can later change the details himself.

After, you have confirmed the above mentioned steps, you and the new owner (to whose account the domain is being transferred) shall receive an email from GoDaddy - confirming the transfer.

Now, the new owner of the domain must accept the transfer, in order for the domain to reflect in his account.
