FSIS Embraces Podcasting
| By Lisa M. Keefe on 4/24/2008 for Meatingplace.com | ||
USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has a new way to reach out: It has launched a series of educational podcasts designed to address food safety and education issues. Consumers are one group the agency wishes to reach with the information, but it also is a part of FSIS’s outreach efforts to small and very small processors, their executives and employees. FSIS promises that the podcasts will be short, factual audio and video files featuring scientists, policy experts and other specialists. Subscribers can sign up for the RSS feed. It’s free, and subscribers can either get new podcasts automatically or select individual files from the list. For more information, visit FSIS’s Web site. |
