PayPal Account access limited? - Some Solutions

paypal_logo.pngMany users face the problem of PayPal limiting their account for reasons that are beyond their control. For e.g. there is a high chance of a PayPal account getting limited, if you receive huge funds from a new account or an “Unverified” PayPal account. Moreover, if you are trying to withdraw funds to VCCs (Virtual Credit Cards) or Virtual Offshore Bank Accounts, there are high chances that your PayPal account will show you a message - “Limited Access“.

So What if my PayPal account is limited?

If your account gets limited, you cannot withdraw funds (your credit balance) from your PayPal account, neither can you send funds to anyone else, but PayPal does allow you to receive funds from other accounts.

There are two things you can do two get your Funds/Account back

You can always refund the money which you have received from your customers, and ask them to send it to you to another PayPal account (which you can open easily) or send the money back to you via other means. This does appear to be a bit of a hassle - contacting previous customers, refunding them, asking them to send the money back.. However, you really do not have a choice.

Another thing, you can do to get back your normal account status, is to explain to PayPal that you and your business are genuine. You will have to send them documents like your passport copy, bank statements, utility bills, etc. in order to convince them to lift your limited account status. You can either, upload the scanned copies of the documents via your PayPal account control panel, or you can fax the documents to them.

If everything is fine, and PayPal is convinced, then you will get back the normal account access powers within a week.
